I dunno about "a lot", but personally, I'd buy at least one, especially if you offer as many options as with your mini edc. I prefer 18650 lights myself, and I have no problems edc'ing my little mini, or VF-L085. I'd LOVE something like that with an mc-e or p7 shoehorned into it!

Well, i think enough interest has been garnered.....
I will work on a sales thread then..
There will be more options than the Mini-Edc too

I'm sure yhey would sell well, I can't be the only one who would want to see the output of those led's with that bigger battery behind it. Judging by the size comparison photo you put up, it wouldn't be too much larger. I know that I like rotating my edc stuff (knives, etc.) and am sute lights would be the same way...

Re: Mini Edc Second Run with P7/MC-E Leds And Backlit Tailcap Button

Does anyone know if the Lacrosse BC-900 will charge RCR123 batteries?

(This may seem off-topic, but I'm thinking of putting in an order for this Edc, and am wondering if I need the charger or not.)

Thanks!

OK, I'm in for an MC-E with the 2-mode clicky, GITD button, set of batteries and a charger.

That should be (95 + 5 + 10) * 1.04 = 114.40. I'll paypal it immediately.

Thanks!

I have the BC-900, and the docs don't say that it doesn't do lithium batteries. I was wondering if someone had some knowledge along the lines of "it doesn't say they're supported, but it turns out..." etc.

Some other googling turned up someone who seems like they know what they're talking about (heh) and they say that the BC-900 positively will not charge lithium rechargeables.

I would not use it on the basis of speculation for fear of a few
missing fingers  And thanks for the payment !!

Would a blinking LED be possible with the tailcap? This would reduce current draw even more. I've gotten average current draw to be negligable with a 5mm blinking LED, through a high (in the K's) resistor value.

PP sent for basic with MC-E, Black Cap.

Forgot to ask--is there a coated lens upgrade?

Thanks.

If you could find a 3mm Blinking Led that "Might" work. But i would
have to test it out using the 5-mode drivers. It may confuse the
driver and switch the modes when the light is off.
Let me know if you find something pleasie :)

I dont have any coated ones, but the specs are: 19.2mm x 1mm
If you find a nice coated lens, i might offer it as an option

Added to the List !!

Are there any lens diffusers anyone has seen?

Not that i've seen :(
But you could use a bit of screen protector
film that has been sanded and cut into a circle :)

Glad "Press and Seal" on the lens has known at CPF to be a cheap and good diffusers.

http://www.glad.com/plasticwrap/pressnseal.php

I have the TR-801 (18650 version of the Mini EDC) with a P7. Trust me, the beam output is bright, nice and smooth. You do not need to use any diffusers. But, not sure about the MCE.
