So I ran out of beer tonight...

On a winter camping trip, after the other consumables were gone, we got down to some spiced rum that wasn't exactly sippin' rum. I had some iced tea mix, so I heated some water, added the mix and a shot of rum. The four of us agreed that it tasted better than what we had been drinking. Iced tea/rum has become one of my standard drinks - but I'm talking cold, home-brewed iced tea.

...The morning after UV pink lemonade vodka, gatorade, and a whole bag of Old Dutch popcorn...

Man am I hung over.
For the record, I didn't do a lick of reloading last night either.

LOL, By "reloading" I thought you meant more drinking.

I find vodka and lemonade very refreshing on a hot summers day.

I mixed these two some years back and also found it very tasty...well what few i had out of it, girlfriend at the time drank most of it, I had to turn to old faithful...beer. :wave:

I really like bourbon and Diet Dr. Pepper. Could use one right about now, as a matter of fact.

+1, only mixed drink I ever drink, especially with Crown Royal.

Geez! Uhhhh...then I came up with this BRILLIANT idea that I really did not think through. I figured I'd get some Cognac and Coke, have a few drinks and would dull the pain.

All was going well and the Cognac cured my pain problems but....

The main thing to prevent pain after a vasectomy is to NOT "rattle the pipes" you could say. Well, drink three Cognac and Cokes and guess what... you WILL "rattle the pipes" when visiting the little boy's room!

My wife still laughs about that to this day

Yeah. It is resting on the handle of my tool box because I can't find a place to hang it in my shop. I have a small shop and I am crammed in there like a can of sardines with no available wall space. I keep threatening to expand it into our "severely piled up, junk everywhere" storage area of the basement, but every time I look at that colossal mass of crap, I get this defeated attitude and want to crack open a beer.

I still feel under the weather. That UV Vodka did me in last night...

well.. i dont drink beer at all.. dang it.

but.. my normal stuff is Vodka + Orange juice. sometimes Vodka + sprite/7up. Sometimes Vodka + some liquer +sprite/7up (rare)

oh and i am man enough at bars to order some more girly drinks to myself too. hahah. i dont give a fku what others think and say.. if its alcohol and i like the taste of it.. i will drink it.

when others have one beer..(after dinner/sauna/watching tv/fixing a car)

i get a gin long drink

bacardi breezer and smirnoff ice kind but not as sweet.. gin + grapefruitsoda.. search "long drink" at wikipedia and you see what i mean. .. may i have one now. i kinda want one now that we are talking about these things.. yeah cuz. im on holiday. since 3 hours ago. maybe celebrate a week off. oh yes please. a "Lonkero" for me then, thank you.

Oh....ooops. Anyway. Cheap whiskey. Got 'er done alright. And the happy side note...after repulsing her and getting loaded on her booze...that young lady escorted me home that very evening.

Takes the young ladies awhile to learn that when dealing with us guys, you have to be very specific.

As for me, favorite drink is a toxic-green shot of Scooby Snacks. (several of them.) That's the good stuff. :thumbsup:

+1 Except I use Canadian whiskey (VO, CC, Mist, etc.), and regular DP. I remember the first time I tried it out of necessity, I couldn't believe how much I liked it! And at this point, I can't drink a DP without starting my mouth to watering for some whisk! I tell people that it's a good combo, and they look at me like I'm F-ing nuts! :duh2:

And i had a chilled bottle of UV Vodka that was some flavor of lemonade...pink at that.

So, not having anything besides Berry Gatorade to mix it with, and really needing a buzz for this busted toe I have, I mixed up a strong one, and ya know what? It tastes pretty damn good.

So, what are your secret "git 'r dun" concoctions?

Mine? well it depends on what is in the house, but UV pink lemonade vodka and Gatorade is doing just fine right now.

You need to get yourself down to Discount Liquor on Barstow and get some more beer. Nothing wrong with working with what you've got on hand (ie. vodka and Gatorade), but with the selection Discount has, you've got no real excuse to go more than a day without good beer in the house.

And you are right. There ain't NOTHING they don't have. I made the grave mistake of neglecting to pick any up that night. Not a lot of Wisconsin boys will admit that either.
