The padlock is only as good as the hinges, hasp/staple & the door. I have heard several accounts of thieves simply unscrewing the hasp & staple from the door and replacing it when they were done or removing the door by removing the hinge pins or unscrewing them.

Thats when you would upgrade the door with double ball bearing Stainless Steel hinges x 3 (like what I installed on my front door) and use one way bolts with spring washers / nylock nuts with locktite red on the bolt threads to keep the hasp & staple on the door and it from being removed from the outside - one better would be a weatherproof Lockwood Deadbolt - but that would depend on the strength of the door jam and the shed itself!

Would probably be easier to blast through a side of the shed than even bother with the door after that lol...
