Romisen RC-C6/RC-29?
Do you have any TIR Surefires? My LX2 throws VERY far, even on its 15 lumen low mode. You could try the E1B Backup.

Most aspherics and like i mentioned before, the D1 will beat the E1B in throw..
But the E1B is a super flashlight for daily use! Lovely EDC.
The E1B is also still in production and thus a lot easier to find than a D1.
I haven't found any decent aspherics in the AA/14500 format either. Really wish I could've gotten a Deft FTP when they were still being made.
I find myself lacking any good throwy lights. Are there any small (16340/CR123 or AA/14500) sized lights that really throw? Maybe lights that use an aspheric lens?
Contact ma_sha1 and see if he can make what you want. He seem pretty keen on throwers.

If you mean XR-E R2 and XP-G R5 then of course they are going to be different in throw as the XP-G is a bit larger.Newer LED's, like the R5 has less surface brightness than the R2, if you didn't know :) That means that the R2 will give better throw than the R5's.
I really don't know about any 1 CR123/14500 lights that use a newer LED than the R2 and have better throw than the Ray D1..
The D1 can compare it's throw to many 2*CR123 throwers without aspherics.
