Is that my imagination or are those 3mm emitters in between the TIR's?

Great photos and collection Cary! You have been busy acquiring some beauties. We need to see your entire collection in one shot. I have to round mine up for an updated group shot myself.

I love that last pic of the tailcap of your 26650 Knurly.

How do you folks like your copper? Do you let it age, or lacquer it, or polish it up periodically?
I have a Copper E2C Adaptor made by TnC. Originally I treated it with saltwater every day for a week and let it sit outside in humid summer weather while I was at work, then used soapy water to clean off the green corrosion every evening before repeating the treatment. It developed a nice dark finish, but the spaces between the heatsink fins were reacting somewhat differently, probably because TnC couldn't reach into them to polish the raw-machined metal before delivery. That wouldn't be an issue on the smooth design of Mac's EDC lights though.

Ultimately I opted to use chemical brass blackener to turn it black, and then scuffed off some of the black coating with a Scotch-Brite pad, because I wanted a finish that would be more consistent and require less maintenance over the course of years. It looks like this:

However, since this is a photo thread for Mac's lights, here are my photos of the SST-50 I used to have. Someone else is enjoying it now.

:eek:oo:

This picture makes it easy to see why copper used to be considered a precious metal fit for jewelry. Too much sulfur in the air nowadays for it to stay shiny all the time, kinda like silver. Stupid industrial revolution.
