I have a Copper E2C Adaptor made by TnC. Originally I treated it with saltwater every day for a week and let it sit outside in humid summer weather while I was at work, then used soapy water to clean off the green corrosion every evening before repeating the treatment. It developed a nice dark finish, but the spaces between the heatsink fins were reacting somewhat differently, probably because TnC couldn't reach into them to polish the raw-machined metal before delivery. That wouldn't be an issue on the smooth design of Mac's EDC lights though.
Ultimately I opted to use chemical brass blackener to turn it black, and then scuffed off some of the black coating with a Scotch-Brite pad, because I wanted a finish that would be more consistent and require less maintenance over the course of years. It looks like this:

However, since this is a photo thread for Mac's lights, here are my photos of the SST-50 I used to have. Someone else is enjoying it now.

oo:This picture makes it easy to see why copper used to be considered a precious metal fit for jewelry. Too much sulfur in the air nowadays for it to stay shiny all the time, kinda like silver. Stupid industrial revolution.
