Best CR123 in 2022?

These US-made Panasonics are a sign of good quality and reliability, even though I'm not too impressed with the max 1A current. Have been using these for a couple of years now, before that I've mostly stuck with the MIJ standard and Industrial variants (due to easy accessibility in my vicinity), as well as the SF-branded ones. But how bad are the current Indonesia-made ones in terms of overall quality and usability, as compared with the MIJ ones?

If I recall correct a fellow at the Malkoff section did some tests and found Battery Station were hard to beat.
I bought a brick of Rayovac CR123's and have gotten good service from those for general use.
I used all Panasonic for a while though.

Coincidence: I noticed this thread, then stopped by Battery Junction to check on something unrelated, and these were featured on the home page. I don't recall seeing them before. My quick scan / comparison with the data sheet for the Energizers I keep a few of on hand shows these: have higher capacity, same max continuous current rating, lower max pulse current rating, are lower cost, and are also manufactured in USA.

I use very few 123 lithium primaries, having switched years ago to LFP for almost all my ~3V needs, but I know some apparently still use them regularly and might be interested in checking these out, so FYI:

A peli 1010 will fit 24 cr123s almost perfectly with some foam padding if anyone is interested. Great storage solution for on the go.

I also use the PELICAN1010 as a battery case, it fits 2 boxes of 12 surefire battery boxes just fine.

Yes Battery Stations are good, Ive used a few that came with my Malkoff lights, but unfortunately not available in Germany. Everything is more expensive over here.

@Olumin buy from www.nkon.nl they have great prices and deliver to Germany by DPD in a couple of days, I'm buying CR123 from them for 8 years now. Usually I buy Panasonic, but have also purchased Energizer and Duracell.

But seriously, Kodak makes good batteries, made in China. I had the opportunity to buy a few pieces, the operating time is no worse than that of the SF and the battery station. I checked them in a helmet-mounted SF.

I still have some Kodak film in my fridge, its been there for years. I used to shot that out of a Nikon FM2, until it got stolen out of my apartment one day. The only film camera I now have is a Rollei 35 (which was my first), but its a display object only these days.

Kodak still makes fine film. For regular shooting, it's hard to beat gold 200iso. And to really get colours, you cannot beat Ektar without going to colour positive film. I still shoot with a couple Minolta SLRs from the 60-70s and a nice Nikon rangefinder. Oh and an original Polaroid. The leather one that folds up to look like a big cigarette case

I just buy a 48 pk. of Surefire CR123s from Amazon when I need to. I've had no problems in countless years and no longer consider other brands. I did receive some "Tenergy" brand CR123s as a gift once and they were fine as well.
