does it seriously not say what type of cell their lights take anywhere on the website?!?
Sorry for the confusion. BOSS is definitely and exclusively an 18mm platform. Our spec section got inadvertently turned off. I've rebuilt it with more information, now labeled Electrical and confirmed its displaying on all BOSS pages.

while you're in there, might as well put the correct unit symbols for watt and volt (capital W, capital V).

also, if the cells are in series, 'per cell' is redundant, no? or is it intentional to imply that the BOSS 70 can draw 9A in its 2x18350 configuration vs 4.5A in 1x18650 config?

Perhaps you'd be modest enough to share with us the flashlights you've brought to market.

what does that have to do with having strong appreciation for good documentation?

i gave him helpful, constructive advice. if i offended him, i apologize. it was my intention to help him improve his documentation in clarity and style. anyone involved in a technical field thrives on strong documentation.

and why, pray tell, are you getting butthurt? you're not even him.
we should all be so lucky to receive constructive feedback on what we put out into the world...

Perhaps I erroneously assumed you had done so. I was almost positive. Carry on.

I'd like to know more about the Muyshondt! :)

It's a great looking light, if I recall they were CR2 powered. Do you know which LED was used? What were the output levels? The circuit is probably very efficient, and the light is worthy of an upgrade of the LED if you want to improve/change the tint. You could probably even get someone like Vinh to change the driver if you want to go with a rechargeable LiIon and a programable interface. The 15270 size is rare in LiIon, but they do exist.

There is a lot of hype in the current market. Nobody seems to care about flat regulation anymore and a lot of the lights now only do the mega lumens for a few seconds before dropping down to possibly less than your Muyshondt on high in a few minutes.

Titanium is readily available on popular Chinese lights now, but I sort of consider the Chinese Tec disposable these days, so I prefer aluminum, because at about the time the aluminum starts showing wear, it's time to upgrade the whole light anyway. Aluminum is lighter and has better heat dissipation anyway. I really don't get the point of a titanium Convoy, although they are easy to mod.

A good place to get familiar with current tec is the review sites that still do runtime graphs. They are mostly doing imported lights though. Here are sites I visit.

Everyday Commentary doesn't do runtime graphs, but does review some high-end customs, like this one from CWF:

I am not familiar with what the youtubers, Reddit and other sites are doing.
