    I have been asking for this for quite a while as well, If 4Sevens / NiteCore would produce a 18650 Smart PD, I would purchase at least 2, maybe more.

    Those NPT nipples will probably hinder heat transfer, if they are steel the thermal conductivity is much lower than aluminum, painting the copper will also lower it's thermal efficiency. See here for a bit more info.

    Just some basic Ohm's law stuff.... These values are based on a pure resistive load in a perfect world. Assuming that you need to deliver 5 watts to the powered device..... Edited, tried to do this as a table, looks like crud. Verbal it is. Nimh has a cell voltage of 1.2 supplying 5 watts...

    yaesumofo: Thanks for the reply. For glow powder I find this to be about the best I have seen, plus they have all kinds of wacky stuff for the scientific / geek types.:D
