Interesting !
Can those heads screw on SF or Aleph bodies or is just the tail compatible?
And do the heads use LEs or fixed internals?

Chris, I think it does fit Aleph because I have a TnC bezel ring (experimental?) that's sitting in my Aleph1 head right now.

The tailswitchs work perfectly; the bodies were intended to fit SF "E" and Aleph however there will need to be an "adapter"; perhpas Bogus1 can chime in and report on progress.

The LE screws out from the front of the head with a cannister tool (available)

Mac, I purcased this bezel from TnC, it appears that it will fit Aleph 1; I can dis-assemble an Aleph 1 head, if no one else responds:)

Hi Bernie,

These TnC SF heads cannot screw on Aleph bodies. As you can see from the pic these LEs are tube loaded, or module loaded rather than head loaded as in the Alephs. I really like this as I use my lights outside primarily in the woods where there is no ambient light (unless there is a full moon). The lantern head makes the ultimate flood IMO with a greater than 180 degree spread. Of course you can still get this without a lantern head. Many confuse lantern mode with tail stand. Tail stand is useless outdoors.

The coated aluminum cans are long with many small threads for conductivity and you can dial in your beam for more flood by screwing out the can a little if desired. These cans are interchangeable between the 350ma and up Key-Lux AA lights as well as with X bins that were sold. Below the pic is a link with some anatomy of the TnC SF lights shown.

Yes, we have a small run of adaptors made that will fit the Aleph heads onto the TnC SF system. We will make more with the demand.

Mac, yes Don's very nice bezels fit the TnC SF lights. The one from the Shoppe I couldn't even get to fit my Aleph A1s. It seems to me the threads will need sanding to fit. I will post some pics in the Lava Lamp thread showing how some bezels look on that light.

TnC Forums thread.

Is there a thread where we can learn more about the lantern head? It's a very interesting concept!
