Well, I will and thanks for the show of support!

I was out last night for about an hour walk and had the chance to use both my new Nautilus and my CR2 Ion in concert with one another. Perfect combo I will say! The Nautilus gave me my first use of a Cree and I am impressed in the ability of this number to throw quite well with a definite hotspot and concentric circle outlines. I am not one to be ceiling illuminating for tests unless for fun but I did to get an idea of the beam pattern. What means most to me in a light is just that--the light--in a practical application. In this case, walking around in a suburban environment. I also used it to check out my new furnace (which is making some rather distrubing sounds!). Howsit work? Works just fine--great output, didn't even get warm over about a 1/2 hour period (it WAS cold outside---mid 30s), puts out a ton of light, sits in the hand nicely and, looks like a million bucks--in daylight as well! It's a keeper.

Hey Folks,

A few people backed out at the last minute on their reservation for a Nautilus and I have a small number of them left over if anyone missed out and would still like one - just send me an e-mail, [email protected], and I'll get you squared away!

YoYoTeen: Runtime is two hours and forty-five minutes on high mode before the light starts going out of regulation, and it'll run for several hours after that in a dimmer mode. Low mode will run for several days - likely for around 85 hours. On high mode the light does not get particularly hot since the power consumption is low.

Karl: How did the post office treat you today?

I will make some more photos outside the next days. I have to go to bed the next hour - dreaming a little bit. Think, i will sleep very well this night ;)

At the time, i took the phots, my wife came, looked at my work, during making the photos and said:

Oh, a Labello (this is a Lip care pin) for rich people :sick2:

I think, i do not understand my wife. She is a litte bit strangely :D

Greetings from Germany
Olaf

Very nice pictures, Olaf_s

I was gone all last week..............when I got home, (2) packages were waiting. A Nautilus like Olaf's and also a proto Aluminum Nautilus.

Hope to post some pictures and a review, later this week.

Seems to be the Germany Nautilus day ;)

The light arrived save at my home today and what can I say?
As far as I can remember this is the first light I ever bought and do not see any room for modding or improvement.
Well done Enrique, I am very impressed !
It is still small, as big as it needs to be, it is nice to look at, it is very well crafted, it is a tool and a toy and finally it is very bright - i love it!

Anyone else run a dunk test on it yet? How deep can we go?

This is grade two Titanium, same as on the Ti CR2's, correct?

Are these easily upgradeable for future Cree/Seoul LEDs? Or are they pretty much sealed?

Olaf und Jochen: Es freut mich sehr dass eure Nautilus angekommen sind! :D Many thanks for the kind words from both of you - I'm glad you're enjoying your lights.

bmstrong: The lights are water resistant - I took the prototypes down to 15 feet under water with no ill-effects, but it's not designed to be a dive light. I don't have access to a pressure chamber to determine the max waterproof thresholds, but if you're using it in "normal" wet situations like during a storm or something to that effect, you're not going to have any problems.

Got mine. Very nice light indeed, with a useful and tight corona. I like it.

Is there a way to purchase some extra foam washers, o-rings and maybe a lens? Just in case ... :D ... because I am a pessimist.

Mine arrived as well today and I really like it too. I can´t believe I had second thoughts about getting the light when I received Enriques email.

OK, I have had my Nautilus long enough to come to a few conclusions.

One, I know its probably not do-able, but a lowest (2 lumens) in addition to low and high making it 3 stages would just turn this light into my grail.

Also, I am surprised this light isnt popular amongst the masses. Whats the matter with everyone, this light kicks a$s. It's a keeper. I am having trouble EDCing this AND the Titan. I seriously couldnt choose one if I had too....

I renamed my Nautilus....... I call it the HomeRun!

Have now had time to "play" with both the Nautilus Aluminum Prototype and the Ti I ordered. Excellent machining, useful beam, pocket size, two levels that are very usable, High is bright! I like the head switching parameter from Low to High. Pictures will hopefully "speak" the rest of the story :grin2:
