definately interested. just a few questions.
-is the focus adjusted by twisting the head?
-is the light waterproof?
-are there only three modes (no sos, strobe)?
-is a holster included?
-is the 1350 lumens value at the led or out the front?
lux readings would also be appreciated. looks like a very well constructed torch.

Dang it! If I only hadn't bought all those lights over Christmas, I would surely get this. Nice form factor, something I was looking for (I really C-cell batt size) and that's one awesome focus system. :ohgeez::sigh::mecry::sick:

Wanna trade it for My {A10/Ace+tubes} & DBSv2 Host & ED-P72? :broke:

Thank you Glenn!! What a massive light, is all I gotta say.:faint:

I thought the P7 LT was huge, until I saw the Watersword. Then along came the 15W Ostar. I could do bicep training with those lights if I had them with me.

So, I've compared the zoomed back shots of your 15W, 16W, P7 LT.......which do you think fairs better at the 100 meter mark?

And I love the round beam profile!! Makes it look like a true search light.

Wow, that is big.

Very interesting lens system and beam shots.

It's good to see some manufacturers taking advantage of ARC mania's multi-level Ostar work. (No inside info, just assuming.)

I would love to get one, when are these going to be available?

This is a feeler thread to see how many people are interested before he decides if he will go into production.
There will only be approx 75 sold on CPF - this might be a bit presumptuous on my part but if Mike doesn't mind I will put a "very" interested list and "I would buy one" list.
just post a reply for ether list and I will make a running list :twothumbs

how is the waterproofing of the torch, and how is the heatsinking? i imagine the ostar creates a lot of heat.
thanks.
