I didn't know where to put this up and hope this is the correct place. This is a rechargeable flashlight utilizing a 15 watt Ostar LED combined with an optic thats adjustable from flood to spot. If there is interest of purchase here, I am thinking about putting these up for sale. This will not be a pre-pay. Price is a bit unknown at this time but am speculating around $425.00 a unit but its just a guess at the moment. Its a huge well made, useable light.

Here are the specs:

length = 32 cm
Width of head = 6.5 cm
T6061 aluminum with rubber coating
Three levels of light
1350 lumens in high
Dual glass optic with AR coating.
Lexan front lens for protection.
Rubber front bezel and rubber tail cap.
Weight = 1.2 kgs
Color = black
Comes with charger, battery pack and an aluminum carrying case.
Spare battery packs also available. Capacity = 14 volt 2400mah
Charge time = 4 hours
Runtime in high = 2 hours
Runtime in medium = 4.5 hours
Runtime in low = 9 hours

Illum: All six dies are perfectly put in one spot.

For all the aspheric lovers out there, this light is very impressive. If there is interest, post here.

Interesting.

Any further specs? Chemistry/capacity of the battery, charge time with included charger, runtime on the three levels, etc.

wow Awesome, good job, its amazing

how the hell to focus 6 dies in one?!?!?!?? I like your focus sistem!

Interesting...I think a clouded window under the aspheric may have evened out the light from the six dies...but I dunno.

I can't think of how it could work...unless the optic is not aspherical but indeed spherical:nana:

I've only heard of CaF2 crystal balls used for laser collimating and focusing, The larger the spheres is the easier for it to handle and ease the sensitivity of translational alignment...

Perhaps 1 optic focuses the 6 dies down to a pinpoint and the second optic has it's focal point at that pinpoint. Does that even work? :thinking:

I'm definitely interested. I'm a big fan of optics so I've some major curiosity about how all 6 dies have been focused. More details please. :D

Can we see inside the light.
And how wide the flood can go and how sharp you can focus the spot down too?
Is it water proof - are the batteries lithium?.
Can you do a LUX reading @ 1,5,10 meters?
Is the Ostar LED the your final choice?
Does the rubber stop heat dissipation?
Questions questions questions sorry - but its big bickkies to drop on a light

all you need is a small diameter/short focal lenght lens right in front of the die, and another bigger lens with medium focal lenght in the head. :wave:

if you have some lenses just play a little arround with them.

These are interesting LEDs. Why isnt anyone making these into flashlights or maybe car headlights?
