Hi Guys,
I am always using one little flashlight or another, at work and play. 90% of the time I need two hands to perform the task at hand. I cant stand the feel of metal on my teeth so I have for years simply cut a piece of heater hose that fits the end of my little EDC lights and slipped it over the end.
For lights without a protective shroud around the on/off switch putting it a little above the end of the light's tail clickie gives it added protection against getting turned on in your pocket. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...Here goes! I hope you all enjoy this little cheapie mod as much as I have. It sure makes sticking a metal tube in your mouth and between your teeth a little more pleasant! This also makes using it between your fore and index finger really easy as the rubber ring gives a positive stop behind your fingers. I have also used clear vinyl tubing found in the plumbing section of home improvement stores where a little less obvious appearance is desired. On bigger lights I have glued a piece of bicycle inner tube round the end of the light for the same functionality. Enjoy..
