The new 2008 Audi R8 now has LED headlights and as a bonus it does 190mph. The LED's are recessed into the hood and are much smaller than standard headlights.

Now there's one for every flashaholics collection! :takeit:

Wow~ Not only bright but also fast. :D

I get about $65 to live for a month in univeristy, and every month I may have about $12 left. So I need about 800 years to get this flashlight :D

I would that light, but the extra functions seem pretty gimmicky. ;)

The R8 would be a great flashlight and the rechargable batteries and charger are built into the light. The new hybrid charger built into the R8 flashlight is a novel idea, you can run a normal 12V charger or just start the engine to keep the light running a long, long time. Think of the money you will save on batteries. :)

The downsides are costs not normally associated with flashlights; fuel, insurance, registration, plates and speeding tickets checking "beam shots".

:awman:now I have to get another light.

whats the bin number, is it PWM, does it have a good white tint, are the threads loose, will it accept li-ions, are the beams "ringy"...............
Will my Dodge Ram body fit the Audi Front End???

Come on whens Audi gonna respond. I need to know these things.

Anyone wanna go in on a group buy:naughty:

No, those are not Cree's but Luxeon LEDs. Did read it in a Lumileds newsletter.

I wonder if anyone who owns one of those cars would be willing to risk doing an emitter swap to increase the brightness :D
