Hello all:)

I want to share my impressions with this incredible tiny light:grin2:.

Thanks to my friend Freddy (Icarus), who makes this possible:thanks:.

The light:

McLux PR-T head (black HAIII) with McR 27 reflector, Wiz 2 driver setting 732mA, UX1J-Ermitter, on SF Nat E1e body with SF Z52 tailcap.

The incredible output:

About 100 Lumens and 3160 Lux at 1 meter measured.

Powered with 1x protected RCR123 LiIons cell, runtime about 50 minutes.
Runtime with 1x CR123 primary cell more than 1 hour.

The finish, building quality and handling is excellent (like all lights from Freddy).

This is perhaps my most impressionest light, due to her tiny size. The UX1J tint is perfect for my taste (on the warmer, yellowish side) and the throw range is incredible. She lights up objects, more than 150 feet away:rock:

But enough words, let's pictures speak:

Thank you very much XFlash:).

The Minimag......:whistle:long time ago:grin2:

I forgot to mention, for carry the light at the belt, the Cordura holster of a "Leatherman-Wave" fits exactly:).

To get twice the runtime, I'll use my selfmade spare-cell carrier.

That is gorgeous, seriously! I'm drooling here.
Dare I ask, how much did that set you back? I've been carrying the Q3 modded by Milkyspit (PQ3), and someday might want a brighter more durable light (using a E/1 host body, to keep the small size and clip).
That looks like exactly what I had in mind.

Hello Omega Man:)

I can't answer your question, because I couldn't pay for her with money.

She is part of a friendly barter:)

Sometimes you can find a McLux PR-T head in the B/S/T forum, so it's not impossible to get one:grin2:.

Nice setup!!!

Have you considered to use a Vital Gear FB1 instead of the SF body? That will make it even a little bit smaller =)

No, because she's absolutely perfect in this setup:). If she would be smaller, a part of my hand would cover the head of the light, using her in my fist.

Also I like the finish and handling of the SF body and tailcap very much, including the very sturdy HAIII coating:).

And yes Freddy, I like her very much:rock:.

Hello Tom, great review of a "wee" light. The set up is gorgeous...i must say ! :twothumbs

I have one Black PR-T (DB-917) with 2 stage-tailcap but at the moment i use it with a E2D body. Sir Icarus refurbished it for me. :)

One more PR-T (Wiz x 2 Driver like you have) is on the way with another mystery light that in the shipping from Freddy !!!

Love the round beam of the PR-T and it literally grow on me !!!

Yes! Freddy, my Tri-Lux GURU.....indeed PR and PR-T do not get the honour that they deserved. Many years will come by but the Classic will still remains to be admired....

Hi LJ,

That is one nice looking light there. I really like the looks of the z52 tailcap better than the z57, very clean. I just realized this weekend how easy it is to make a z52 into a clicky, and made my wife very happy with her winelight.

100 lumens is freakishly bright for a U-bin powered in the 700ma range.

Most of my U-bin lights powered at 900-1000ma are about 70 lumens
in output

Do you have the possibility to test Lumens? If so, there must be something wrong with the lights you mean. (This means, more then 30% loss with an overdriven U-bin?)

Take a look at the specs.

McGizmo's PR-T is one of the classic designs (along with the Arc LS) that got me really hooked.
Long John and Icarus, great job! Love seeing these pioneering lights reintroduced.

Thank you very much kooter and nekomane:)

But special thanks to Freddy, because she was his "baby" (building process) and now mine:grin2:

I like her so much that I want a second one:candle:.
