does the "add tabs" option mean that these battries will have raised positve terminals like a primary AA battery? Anyone familar with these

I think it means tabs so you can solder together to make a battery pack. So no, not battery nipples. YOu could use small magnets for that...

If they're for use in a flashlight you definitely don't want tabs. They are a serious short-circuit risk if the battery is to stay in a metal tube.
