My question has to do with the actual outer diameter of the spacer itself. I'd like to be able to run a 17500 cell in a 2x123 body bored for a single 17670. With a 15mm spacer I'd be able to do just that, but the spacer I referenced is for charging purposes and does not have a protective heatshrink or similar exterior coating for use in lights. My bored body is already a pretty tight fit for the 17670 cell.

Does anyone own one of these 15mm spacers and can they comment on whether they've used them in lights or not? I do have some heatshrink in the garage but I'm afraid that it will be a bit too thick when applied and will not fit in the body itself.

Hi dude..!

I think it will JUST fit..
I compared it to 18mm. batt. and it has about 1.5mm to give..

I didnt purchase those seperate spacers from LightHound, but I did get identical looking ones with one of my chargers. I can't guarantee the dimensions are the same but it's probably a good bet. My spacers are 15.82mm in diameter so they should fit in the space intended for a 17670 cell even if you want to add some insulating wrap.
