No spring, but I did add one little magnet to the top of the 18650. I put an o-ring around the magnet to make sure that it couln't short against the side of the e-can.

OK, that answers my question: The Pila and Wolf Eyes 168A / 600P cells won't fit because they're too fat (~18.5mm) ...not because they're too long (~67.5mm).

I got a brand new Scorpion. Tried screwing the head onto the battery barrel and it doesn't screw on all the way. not sure what to do from here.

Hi,
A Scorpion was my first real light as well. I don't carry it because it goes through batteries so fast. I have since switched to LED's. Would somebody please explain why/if the light is brighter with 1- 3.6 volt lithium ion compared to 2- 3 volt lithium cells?

What size do you bore the body tube to, in thousandths of an inch? The minor Dia. of the threads is a set size so, is the front of the body bored to the same size as the rest or, stepped down? Is this why some of the posters have needed magnets as spacers? I would really like to order one of these mods from you, I just want to know what I am getting.

I wonder how this battery setup would work on the Scorpion LED. We use (get that a light that is actually used) ours daily and it would be nice for a longer run time.

Damn, silly me for ordering the battery station protected 18650, won't fit in this or any of the other bodies I had intended to use it in, I need to get rid of it and get an AW 18650...the fun continues

Thanks again for this awesome mod! It's truely the only incan that I would choose to carry on a regular basis. Now if only I hadnt dropped the bulb the first day I had it...Still getting ahold of the whole incan = more fragile than led lol.
