I was a bit dubious after being the only one to get a bum unit of that other rominson light that is so popular, but this one blows that one away!

This is the model that looks like that Blue-Strike model that just came out. It comes in Black and Silver. The fit and finish all around are fantastic! Feels more substantial in the hand than my P2D. This is an outstanding $20 DX light. Highly recommended! Oh, BTW it's a Cree P4 LED.

Now for the key questions...

Forward or Reverse clickie?

Easily moddable?

Looks to be another great deal.

Reverse and yes. The head unscrews to a completely unobstructed view of the LED. I'm not going to unscrew it again the take a pic though. Thats how I F-ed up the other Rominson light. It is their achilles heel....just don't try and force twist the head till it can't go any further...it'll twist the LED and snap the wires. It gets more than snug enough before you hit that point, but it is POSSIBLE.

Cool, I just placed an order with them a few days ago and got the
7320 and 10685. Both are 1xCR123 models, too. I believe they both have Cree's, the latter (if not both) a Cree P4.

Hope mine perform as well as yours and are quality construction.
The RC-V4 looks more "tactical". I got the smoother looking ones to put on trial for in the pocket EDC duty.

I believe the ones I ordered are simple "on-off" (which is what I wanted). Does the RC-V4 have modes? I like the design of that one too, and may have bought it had I run into it.

Just ON/OFF (thank God!)

Please, is there a link where I can see more pics, price and shop this light ?

Thanks Ernie.

Do you know this model ? Is it a good thrower for its size ?

It throws pretty decent...about what you'd expect...just like a P2D

Pity. If it had forward click/momentary on, I'd be all over this light.

Good luck finding that at DX. If you see a DX/Kai light, just assume it is reverse. I don't let it bother me when you consider the rock-bottom prices for the quality.

Let me give an opposing opinion. I like the RC-G2 and G4 models because they're well-built and easy to mod. This light looks good, but it has some terrible features. The bulky CR123A light has mediocre brightness for a 16340 powered P4 CREE, and it has a one-mode reverse clicky. The o-ring between the plastic lens and reflector was buckled, so I tried to disassemble the head. Big mistake! After removing the aluminum retaining ring under the reflector, it became clear that the reflector was inserted from above, and the plastic lens was glued over it. It cannot be removed from below, so you can't clean the lens, exchange it for glass, or adjust/lube the o-ring. I had assumed that Romisen was continuing to improve quality, but this light is a huge step backward. I'll be much more skeptical about Romisen in the future and won't assume that any lights other than the G2 or G4 are worth my time. What were they thinking?

I was looking into picking one of these up. On DX, the head looks like it unscrews easily. Is this not the case? Is it glued on?

The head screws off so you can get access to the emitter. If you unscrew the ring below the reflector, you can't get the reflector out because it is inserted from above and the plastic lens is glued over it. Very bad design!

I don't think every manufactuer out there cares about whether or not you can take all the pieces apart and build your own. It's not being sold as a customizable kit. The fit, finish, output and price beats anything you can get in a dept store. So you can take the reflactor out...SFW? If thats an issue for you, noone is making you buy it.

I don't know why people expect so much for so little money. It's very unreasonable.
