Hi Guys I have a 6P with a M61 great light I would like to go with rechargeable batteries what would be the best way to go 2xRCR123A or 1x 17670 Thanks Craig

Probably slightly more output on 2x RCR123 (I don't have an M61 but that's the case with the earlier M60 - is should be very difficult to discern any real difference in initial output BTW) but considerably more runtime from 1x 17670 (w/ ~45% more stored energy than 2x RCR123) with a gradual decline in output instead of an abrupt PC shutoff that would occur with the 2xRCR123.

I suggest these links for more info:

In my experience and from what I have read...

2xRCR123s will translate to something like an hour of regulated light followed by a sudden shut down.

On a single 17670, where it starts off in brightness will depend on the Vf of the emitter you get, but expect a gradual decline to 50% of whatever it starts off at and a run-time of something like 3 hours (IIRC).
