These lights are rather bulky and I had to split them over two pictures. The last light in the first picture and the first light in the second picture are about the same length.
On the first picture (Same sequence as on picture): DereeLight DBS XR-E R2, DereeLight DBS MC-E, DereeLight CL1H, DereeLight aspherical, JetBeam RRT-1 Raptor, JetBeam RRT-2 Raptor, Tiablo A10, Fenix TK11, Fenix TK20, Fenix TK40, Epsilon ED-P71 and Epsilon ED-P72.
Second picture (Same sequence as on picture): SolarForce L950m, Lunapower MVP, JetBeam M1X, EagleTac M2C4, OLight M30 Triton, Neofab Legion II, OMG Lumens DEFT, MicroFire Warrior, Titanium L35 and in the front a incandescent Maglite 6D.

BrightnessMax.png

The first graph shows all lights at maximum brightness and the HID lights are of course the brightest lights, followed by MC-E, P7 and triple LED lights, with the single led lights at the bottom. The big incandescent Mag is about the same as a single led.

Brightness.png

Combining all the brightness settings in one graph, show the range the lights can handle and also how the brightness steps are selected for each light. The Legion II has 5 steps, but only covers a small brightness range, where M30 with 3 steps covers a much wider range.

BrightnessLux1.png

BrightnessLux2.png

These two graphs show brightness (lux) at 4 meters distance, again the HID wins, but the aspherical are not the weakest lights in this discipline even though they are single leds. Next comes the throwers and just below the throwers are the most focused P7 and MC-E lights. But as can be seen from the pictures below, great throw with low total light output, has its price, only a small area is illuminated.

These pictures are a new series with 3 steps lower exposure, usual I only do 2 steps lower and uses the same pictures as above, but this time I wanted to get the HID's under control.

The light is equipped with OP reflector and 3SD Q3 led module, this is not the best combination for throw, it is possible to order it with a smooth reflector and a R2 module for more throw.
The light uses 1x18650 battery and has 3 levels that can be stepped between with a fast off/on sequence.

The light uses 3xAA batteries, but they must be rather slim. In my test here I am using a XR-E R2 led, extra colliminator lens and the clear aspherical lens, this setup can be changed. What setup is possible will depend on what generation of the light it is.

Thanks for posting these HKJ-there's a lot to digest.

One thing you might consider in the future-some of us find beam shots in an open field with a grove of trees somewhere around 100yds. away very useful.

The field CPF member Wattnot uses in his reviews is my idea of a perfect field.

Again thanks for posting.I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work you put into this.:twothumbs:thumbsup::twothumbs

Wow!! This is HUGE!! Thank you for the time and effort that went into this, it's awesome!!! What an incredible collection of lights, too!

Wow. Just . . . wow. Thanks so much for all the work. I hate to nitpick, but you say the Dereelight DBS with the aspherical is the brightest. I'd say the MC-E is the brightest but the aspherical focuses the beam much more tightly and gets the light out farther.

Like I said, I hate to nitpick someone who can get off their a$$ and get all these beamshots, not to mention all the post work to load the pics and organize them so efficiently, but Dereelight is my light of choice, at least amongst throwers and I go for a common lexicon so that it's easy to talk about performance between different brands and models.

Again, thanks! :candle::twothumbs

I do not thing I say that, I say that the R2 led module is the brightest led module and this is because it has the highest surface brightness.

I associate brightness with lux, not lumen, but I am not always consistent in my writings.

Another great awesome post!:twothumbs Thanks for all your hardwork and the information you've put in. Great excellent job in organizing all the beamshots for these lights. :twothumbs:party:

Terrific. Exactly what I needed to decide on a new thrower. HKJ, thanks for the excellent work!

how far is the long distance shot?

This and what is the distance of all 3 shots.. close medium and far. OUTSTANDING write up none the less. Think you just talked me into the L35... thanks.

Incredible shootout, HKJ. I have always wondered about how some of those lights compared in throw (L35, MicroFire Warrior, DEFT), and now I have the answers because of your excellent pictures. I am amazed at what a significant amount the L35 appears to exceed the MicroFire Warrior in throw by.

Thank you for all of the effort you went to for this review, it is spectacular.
