Should 2 x AW 17670s fire up the MN16 w/ a single click?

I had issues firing it up with some WE 18650s back when I had a bored M4 body. I switched to AW 18650s and it ran great but now I just have the stock body and wanna make sure I can run the MN16 w/ 17670s...

You will probably get the best lamp life if you use a soft start with that setup as well.

As this MN16 is a HOLA it will be severely overdriven by 2X Li-ion cells. Normally, it would be driven by 3X CR123A that won't supply more than 2.2V each under this extreme load. A total of 6.6V this way is applied to the bulb. Now, you can easily see that applying 7.4V won't add to the life of this bulb :poke:
You'd better use the MN20, this one will survive this setup even without a soft start.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! Dealing with 3 level softstart stuff just isn't my cup o' tea. I just want on/off, ready to go when I need it!

Then, I have some more good news: not only the MN20 will do, the MN15 will also do as a long running "extra low output" lamp assembly. It will give you two hours of runtime, and still enough light to do most of the tasks.

Then, there's Lumens Factory. If you want maximum throw, these lamp assemblies are the ones to go for. The HO-M3T draws 2.0 Amps and I tested it: it is simply brilliant! The EO-M3T draws a little more (2.4 Amps) and is even brighter. You have the choice

I've been running the X-LOLA option for a few weeks but his last weekend decided to run the MN20 on 2x18650s while touring some caverns 200' underground. It sure made the tour a lot more interesting!

I'm running the ho-m3t bulb too and it awesome
45ish minutes runtime and a beautiful beam
The imr m3t is great in a bored body too with a massiive hotspot that really throws well
