I don't want to give away too much information about this prototype project I have been working on. I have been wanting to build a head like this for a while just never had the chance to get one finished. Well, I have finally finished a prototype that fits onto the C-Flex battery tubes. My prototype is direct drive (my preference), but they can be made with a 5 mode converter also. Hi-Med-Low-Strobe-SOS. I know people don't really care much for the strobe or SOS but that is how it was programmed. If I could get one programmed that is just three modes I will. Since this is in a prototype stage I might have a ilttle time to do that.
Some specs:
length - 4-1/2" long
Tube Dia - 1-1/4 dia with slightly raised Knurling
Head Dia - 1.990 dia with thin crenulated bezel.
Module is screwed into the head from the front (lens side)
Produces a min of 600 lumens on a single Li-ion C-size battery
Creates plenty of flood with a nice tight hot spot beam (20mm reflector')
Much tighter hot spot than a P7 or MC-E with a 27mm Reflector
Since it throws farther is seems much brighter than a P7 or MC-E (actual output has not been tested, just visual)
These will probably be Hard Anodized Black or EN Plated. Still undecided.
I will attach some pictures for you guys later today when I get home. I will also include some Beam Shots showing the Difference comparted to an MC-E & P7.
Hope there is enough interest in this to do a small run of these lights. Compared to the lights I have here this thing is amazing.
Pictures coming soon!
