I got some parts from DX so I figure , its time to mod the old single mode Luxeon , twisty .
Pictured is the now 5 mode Q5 Twisty next to a L2 Mini R2 ..
Top left the parts + Pill from the Twisty , next to them a P60 style pill also to become a 5 mode Q5 :candle:
The back side of the pill , the pill was just a tube , what your looking at through the hole is the back side of the Cree assembly .., I found a brass nut , filed it some , put the hacksaw to it , then glued it to the back of the cree star , and then soldered it so it would transfer heat better back to the pill .
In anyway , put the 5 mode driver in place , nice n tight + a little super glue , and viola ..
