50w hid kit help !!

hi all ,

ive just bought and fitted a supervision 50w h7 kit for my passat(projectors)

now i know this kit shopuld be brighter than a 35w kit but im having problems with it.

i know i have one faulty ballast which is been replaced.

the other side strikes up and goes really bright but after about 20 seconds you can actually see the light output reduce, up to the point that i would say its not as bright as a 35w kit.??

would you say this is a ballast problerm?? ive checked all the wiring , no loose connections etc etc.

I suppose it could possibly be a ballast issue however these automotive units take a little while to reach full output, you're sure it's just not a higher K temperature that the 35w kit you're familiar with (output drops higher up the K range)?

im sure its not , you can physically see the light go dim , almost as though someone has turned a dimmer switch down.??

I had a 50watt kit that did the same thing. You power it up and the light
ramps up normaly then about 15 seconds later it drops almost 30% in output. I had it replaced and all is good now.

Dont wait to long,I did not use mine for 6mo and had to eat the cost.
