Newly Enlightened
I just wrote a long blog post to sort out my attempts to mod my Surefire E2E.
I bought a Surefire E2E and decided I wanted something brighter with an LED in it.
I bought a Veleno Design E-Series drop-In. The tint was green.
I replaced the Veleno Designs LED with a neutral tint LED. The tint was still green.
I re-silvered the reflector to try to get rid of the green tint.
I gave up on the Veleno drop-in for a while.
I bought a KX2 head.
I modded the KX2 with an R2 bin XR-E.
Now my KX2 is a lot brighter and has a nice neutral tint. I learned how to reflow solder LEDs, re-silver a reflector and my KX2 is open now so I can try other mods. But it was sort of a long, costly way to get a modded E2L.
The long story and pitures here.
