After some time swapping out 3.7v Li Io cells to A123s have very pleasing results. A123's flatter discharge has several advantages.

5761 philips,30w, 6v, in 3C host and two fresh charged A123 at 7.2v, 3.6v each max, 3.3v nominal no instant flashes, no driver nor NTC needed. 6.4vbulb, 6.71vbat the bulb is very bright and white.
56580 tungsram the 64630 Osram, 35w, 6v substitute in 4C host with 3xA123 ran direct drive, no NTC runs bright and white fresh off charger.
today measured 56580 in 4D host, 9.98vatt, 9.45vbulb after settled 9.6-9.45v
Received some Osram 64630s. The filament is about half the size of 56580 and flashed on rested pak of 3xA123s.

need some way to measure lumen of 64630 and 56580 since both look equally bright and white, and of course the NTC brings vbulb down on 64630.
May have to get a lumen meter.
