I'm no expert, but I thought 1000mah or maybe 1100mah was the current limit for AAA Nimh?

AFAIK current maximum is 1100mAh. 1800mAh from some unknown company? Sounds like a fraud to me.

Definately sounds fake. Largest confirmed capacity cells are about 1100mah as jirik_cz said. There is a limit on energy density with NiMH as with all chemistries.

There are lots these unknown battery brands claiming crazy capacities on ebay, amazon etc. I guess I don't have to tell you what part of the body these numbers have been pulled out of. It's a good idea to read peoples opinions and test results before buying as even some of the well known battery brands are way off.

I'd recommend Ansmann 1000mAh/1100mAh or sanyo 1000mAh
