I know that there are a lot of places to buy CR 123's,... where do you buy them (if you do or if you would)?

- Best kind period?
- Best in small orders?
- Best in large/bulk orders?
- Best shipping or overall package?

I have gone back and forth on RCR's and primaries and I have decided to get at least a pile of CR123 primaries to have on hand.

With all of the types/brands/sites out there, I need some advice.

Buying (2) Energizers for $10 at Walmart will not cut it.

+1 Batterystation

General consensus is to get US and Japanese made cells, including Duracell and Surefire. Reports of issues invariably involve cells made elsewhere. Most economical is a dozen or two, then boxes of 50 and 100.

Wrong forum. This would be better off in CPF-Marketplace. Has nothing to do with LED Flashlights.

(and avoid buying them in a retail store)

I am putting them in my E2DL-bk :)

If I add in that I want to know which one gives more lumens does that help?

Also, thanks a lot guys, this is very helpful.

I've ordered from Battery Station, 24 of their branded cells then 50 Surefires, going to have to order again soon, I might try Panasonics this time. I see they've added 50 Panasonics to their CPF discount page.

Purchased the (50) pack for a really nice price. This should feed any lights I get for quite a long time.

Jida, no need to post topic again, this one has already been moved to the battery section.

So which batteries did you get, the Batterystation or the Panasonics?

Obviously Battery Station as everyone else has said... surefire.com has 12 SF cells for $21, battery junction has pretty good prices on Energizer, Rayovac and Panasonic. There are battery reviews on this site that will give you an idea of how each brand typically performs. I just stick to the USA made stuff. As long as it's at least AS GOOD as the Chinese stuff, I don't mind paying a little more for it. Assume (hope) it will have a higher level of QC, and at the same time support your fellow American companies and workers. :twothumbs

You'll have to add cells to the "shopping cart" and check shipping prices with each vendor.

I posted my last reply after it was moved here ;)

I did an order of 50 Battery Station CR123's.

Item Title:
CPF 50 pack CR123A USA shipping included
CPF User Name: jida

Compared to everything else I saw, this is by far the best deal. $60 for (50) with no shipping costs gets them to $1.20 per.

I see it as either get (1) new light or get enough batteries to power my existing light for a couple of years :)

Put the order in on the 21st. Got an email within a few minutes saying that I missed that day's shipment and that they would go out the next day.

Batteries came in today (25th) and in excellent shape.

Free pen and business card to boot.

To be honest, if you asked me how much space (50) of these buggers would take up I would have thought of something bigger.

Package was about 2/3rds the size of a paper back book. Very compact and easy to store in a decent little mailer box.

Will order again when I need to from them, very good experience.
