Other than the first Further Fest, I haven't been to any shows since the last two in Chicago. Just not the same without Jerry.:mecry:

Heading out to The Shoreline Amphitheater in CA for the show on the 14th, actually I believe it's the 10th, they added a new show on the 14th. I just wish that my friend had an extra ticket to the Gorge shows were they are teamed up with the Allman Brothers, that would be a sweet lineup. If you like the Dead, you should check out Railroad Earth, they are a fiery bluegrass band that are talented beyond belief.

Nothing better than Live Dead, but I sure do miss Jerry. I wonder if Andy Tiedye is lurking about and where his preference lies.:naughty: If the thunder don't get cha, then the lightning will.

I wouldn't go unless they paid me. That said, I've been paid to 'work' many a dead show.

I'm always up for a good stony party.

Do they let you smoke out where you see them?

I can only speak for Charlottesville and Albany...and the answer is yes. No hassles from anybody at either show. Great vibes from everyone for sure.

Nice sets!

Thread's bringing back lots of memories of parking lots run amok, veggie burritos, and tie dye. I'll never forget that August morning when my radio alarm clock woke me to Box of Rain and then the dj broke the sad news of what happened during the night. Then my phone just started ringing and ringing and ringing. Crying voices on the other end. Was it really 14 years ago?

I miss those days before he died. Maybe I should go see a show.

You're right...it's not the same without Jerry. It IS, however, something worth seeing - if for nothing else than to bring back great memories of times gone by.

Plus, they do sound really good.:twothumbs

Do yourself a favor and go see a show on this tour. I'm going to miss the next four because I'm going camping in WV this week, but I will for sure be tuning in for the next live Sirius broadcast (whenever that may be:shrug:).
