Any Interesting Ideas? - 6P LED

I have a nice older Surefire 6P LED. I think the 120 Lumen version, head is a KX4.

It's a good solid piece, works well. Nothing wrong with it.

Just curious if there were any obvious upgrades to modernize it any?

How upgradeable is the KX4 LED head ? Dropins won't work in it; will that new format even take a Z44 head/bezel assembly ?

Yes your correct he will need a Z44 for the Dropin.Can probably sell the kX4 or save it for backup.

OP yes you betcha; a SureFire Z44 is ~$20, which is how you can start playing with LED dropins - Malkoffs are a great start, perhaps the best.
