I have an SOB1185 and an SOB1227. Any issues if I connect these in parallel to make an "SOB2400" two-board sandwich, vs the usual approach of using two identical SOBs? I want to drive 3 parallel Cree XP-Es. I recognize that this SOB sandwich would deliver higher than the max 700mA drive current in the XP-E datasheet.
In the past, driving a Seoul P4 and a 2S2P Cree MC-E, the voltage overhead for regulation has seemed to be around a volt or so. Is there anything that can be done to get it lower so that I can drive this setup with 1xLi-ion? If not, no big deal.
