My girlfriend got me a Fenix P3D Q5 and I love it! I was just looking for some simple to extreme mods for it. From the simple lanyard to switching LEDs. I heard putting a P2D Q5 head on it made it a helluva lot brighter due to the boost circuit, but Im looking for generally everything I could possibly do to make it just that much better.

The P2D head on the P3D head would not be recommended. You'll be putting the LED under a lot of stress.

There's not much else you can do to the light(besides improve grip and a better lanyard). The Q5 is about the best you can get and the only thing you can do to improve throw is to install an aspherical lens(and void the warranty at the same time).

You could buy a Diffuser and turn it into a bedside lamp?

yeah all of those are nice and Im really thinking about the aspherical lens mod but even if you could chime in on the easy mods and the overall things you could do. lanyards, grip tape, lenses, beam diffusers, GITD, oring change, if any rechargeables fit in there just general stuff pricing is no option.

Wow, looks like you already know a thing or two! The only other thing I can think of is using diffuser film on the lens to smooth out the beam and make it more floody. The diffuser from Fenix is a good room lighter but not great for directed flood light.
