Blade looked a bit rough finished so I'd concur with novelty and probably not very sturdy.

I found something similar in NY.




I picked it up for around $10 in Harlem, NY. It is pretty cheap, but it is a pretty cool device even if I have no real use for it.

Quoting one of my buddies on another forum:

I have actually met this guy at a run somewhere. We had a discussion about which knife was better. His buckle thing or one of my striders. I happened to have one of my Striders in a horizontal kydex rig that leaves the draw right in front of my Hooligan buckle. Some of my friends told him I was faster than that buckle thing. He called em liars. That didn't sit well with me at all. Guess what, I was faster. NOt only that but I didn't manage to cut the poop out of my hand stabbing my knife into the table top, his hand slid up the blade a bit and he got to bleed some. LOL The centerline draw is great! His was better hid than mine, harder to see but mine was the first one into the table from the same position more or less. Slick idea though, but the applicatioin could be better.

Walking around the few vendor tents, this guy was there.

His engraving is OK, the cast models are nice

He claims to be a "Knifemaker"

He says he makes his blades, but they are 440 Stainless Eagle/Frost peice of poop blades. I mentioned this a couple of times, but he insisted he makes them and it is the strongest blade on the planet, able to cut through any other knife.

The locks suck. He has no concept of what a "Liner Lock" is or how how to properly make one. When I asked about the lock, he couldn't make a complete sentance and could only say that if it didn't work, he would fix it.

Yes, I did Demo the Wave for him. "Well . . . that one is pretty fast too . . . BUT MINE IS BETTER!!"

I walked away

To give him credit, the knife/buckle magnet mechanism is pretty trick.
