My buddy who owns a battery shop just donated me about 20 C cells. Tenergy Centura Low Self Discharge . No markings for MaH, I suspect 5,000
I'd love to use them but have only one C cell torch. I'd like a lantern , any suggestions?

I 3D print some diffusers and stands for the ML25 and ML50 Maglites to use them as lanterns,

You should find modest-priced 3C or 4C LED lanterns from common brands including Rayovac, Dorcy, Energizer, Coast etc.

I came by a supply of alkaline C's to use up and found a few 4C lanterns in thrift shops, some older but still good. A number of handheld LED spotlights also use C's, likely to keep size/weight down compared to D's.

You could get C-D adapters and use those cells in D lanterns.

Dorcy 41-3102 is a nice older 4C lantern. I got two, one is missing battery contacts in the base (but it was only $4). It is not super bright, but solidly built and nice if you can still find them.

BTW: can post lantern-specific here:
