Anyone mod an Arc AAA with a more efficient circuit?

I love the Arc AAA as a light, but I'd love it much more if it was little less potent and more efficient

Well, not too much more efficient, but better regulated. There are lower current versions available from Arcmania.

Arcmania has 12ma, 20ma, 30ma, 40ma and 50ma circuits.
I have 20mA with GS led in Arc AAA and it's about same brightness as original with CS led, now I wish I'd get DS leds somewhere to get nicer beam.
Current draw from AAA nimh is around 80mA so it should give 10hours runtime.

I used to play around with other circuits, but I realized that the stock Circuit is still a great design if you use Alkalines and is probably why ARC still uses them.

So how do you install one of these in an Arc AAA head?

They are the same size, so you just take the other one out and replace it (and the LED).
