Anyone tried out the new Magishine 1200 light?

mA gets interesting though
MS900 high 2.36 amps P7
MS1400 high 1.95 amps P7 .12 amps low
MS1400 XPE high .62 amps .02 low
MS1400 XPE and P7 high, all on, XPE .52 amps, P7 1.71 amps
Interesting isn't it??:D

According to that and some other available data it will be still about 700 lumen lamp :crackup:

2x Cree XP-E @ 500mA -> 260 lumens -> LQ optics *0,85 => 221 lumens
2x SSC P7 @ 1700mA -> 520 lumens
total => 740 lumens :)

1x SSC P7 @ 2360MA => 660 lumens :grin2:
My version from DX gives 2560mA in P7 => 690 lumens

As they are overheating a bit (73* C on the case without air-flow) the real values should be about 10-15% lower -> real output will be about 550-600 lumens for regular magicshine and 700+ for 1200 version :)

The 900 beam looks better too. :ohgeez:
The new P7 reflector is too wide. :shakehead
And the oval xpe optics don't add any throw. :thumbsdow
For 50$ more you get a waterproof battery, more weight, less throw, less runtime.

Wonder when DX will get these in and what the price will be.

I highly recommend the MTBR thread I gave in post 2 as they are debating those measured currents' accuracy and so the output.
:popcorn:

Good output for the money, and they will sell a lot of them, just not to me. The on the go power change is the nicest aspect, the battery container next, and The Warp Nacelles/Mickey Mouse Ears look, last. At least it is a novel apperance after a Lupine Betty look-alike.
:sigh:

Some (2-3?) have, and there are beamshots at the thread in Post 2.

Anyone else?

hmmmm

dosent look worth it except for the battery pack.

the MTBR thread is great tho!

I just WISH someone would make a nice p60 module
headlamp.....
