Anyone tried this driver from DX, sku 10084 ?
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10084

There are no specs available. This driver seems to be a 16mm board & looks good for modding small 1AA flashlights without having to file away most of the neg ring to fit a small pill.( I will ask DX for specs but as it is the Chinese New Year they won't be responding for a few days )
Also is there a way of bypassing the modes & converting to a one level driver ?

Sorry, I did another search & found a bit of info, but not much.

Is this what you're looking for:

Subject: Specs here!

ambientmind Tuesday, January 01, 2008 11:55 PM </B>Reply I finally got the boards in and had some time to run tests on them. First of all, the modes are high>low>slow strobe>fast strobe>beacon(one flash about every 8 seconds). No mode memory. Here are my results, I double checked every one to make sure it was correct. These were measured at the emitter which was a cree p4. The batteries were energizer 2500mah nimh aas and energizer aa alkalines.
2 alkaline:
High-.684a @3.14v Low-.225a @2.25v
2 nimh:
High-.689a @3.24v Low-.212a @2.26v
1 alkaline:
High-.291a @3.01v Low-.109a @2.30v
1 nimh:
High-.262a @2.99v Low-.096a @2.31v

fredx27 Wednesday, January 30, 2008 8:35 PM </B>Reply Thanks ambientmind for the update. The modes seem pretty useless. I would like high-med-low, don't see any use for high-low-strobe1-strobe2-strobe3. The no mode memory is a bit of a dissapointment. Maybe the board can be wired to single output ? I would like to see 700ma from 1 NiMh. I think I will have to look for another board as this dosn't look to be very exciting !

Maybe the UI board can be removed to give single output ?
