Is anyone from the UK contingent here aware where I can buy an ARC AAA in the UK. Google is not my friend today!

Thanks for the welcome and the advice. I have avoided buying things from the US due to the weak £, but also the customs charges and post office handling charges.

I have already got a Fenix LD20 and a Nitecore D10 to replace a number of maglites and crenelated LED torches from Hong Kong sellers on electronicBay. I am afraid that I may be hooked already.

You've got nothing to complain about. Try buying a Lummi Raw Ti with US$. 150 quid doesn't sound so bad until you apply the conversion ratio.

The conversion rate has never been better in recent times for the US citizens to buy UK goods. I have seen the £ drop from being able to buy $2 to $1.45 over the last few months.

Maybe speaking in absolute terms that's true, but Pound Sterling is one of very few currencies in the world where the number gets bigger when it's converted into dollars. There is something to be said for shock value; when I priced out a Raw Ti with four locators and a spare battery, it came out to $270! That is a substantially bigger number than 160.

I see what you mean!

Satisfy yourself with the knowledge that 6 months ago it would have been $320. That should be enough encouragement to buy 2!!

Heh. While I'm all for stimulating the global economy, I'm in no position to personally bankroll the bailout.
