Here is the deal, I got Malkoff M60 that I run with AW 2x18500 cells in a Leef body.

Just today I noticed the lite cutting out, hm. Never had that happen before. My first thought was the module was not making the proper contact with the body, wrapped some alum foil around it --- to no avail.

Tried different cells - the problem goes away.

Traced it to one AW 18500 cell that doesn't charge to 4.2V, I use Pila charger. It only charger to 4.1V (every other AW cells charges to 4.2V with no issues)

Tested the cells, one was at 3.9V and the other (the normal one) at 4.1V. That's with very little use. Obviously something is not right with that cell.

Has it lost the capacity to hold the charge?

The outside appearance looks perfectly normal.

Hello Etc,

Robocop just ran into that same issue and found that there was a problem with the protection circuit.

So basically this cell is finished, is what you are saying.

I've had it for maybe 2-3 months, do you think AW will exchange it for me?

I am not sure if AW has any kind of warranty on them.
