I have a couple AW CR123's that have only had about 3 duty cycles on them. I recharged them the other day and they won't work in 2 lights I have. One is a Surefire hotwire and the other a Romisen F4 LED. The LED will come on for about a second, then quits. Both lights work fine with primary's. Could one of the RCR's be bad? How can I tell?

Hello Casebrius,

I would suggest that you contact AW about this.

If you have a voltmeter, or access to one, you should measure the voltage of the cells after charging, and after they won't work. Sometimes the protection circuit has "issues" that can result in the behavior that you are seeing.

Your cells should measure around 4.2 volts when fully charged, and rebound to around 3.2 volts when discharged. If a cell is reading 0.0 volts, it can suggest problems with the protection circuit.
