There was a big group buy years ago on an custom 1185 like bulb with the filament hung vertical in the center.

What ever happened to them?

All the 1185's and such seem to have the horizontal filament mounting.

I don't know, but over in GroupBuys, in the thread for 2x168A and 3x168A Stinger upgrades, FiveMega sells a 22W axial bipin bulb. I used to own that lamp in his 3x168A Stinger. It made the most powerful, wide flood I've ever used.

I don't know who makes the 22W axial.
