Re: Barbolight T-35 CSWL/Dazzler. (Former "Old painless"

Amazing!

The safety rocker switch reminds me of a jetfighter. You have to unlock the switch... fox free! The raw output and the picatinny rails... Just like a weapon from the near future :)

Michael

EDIT:
Does this "4x1860 Li-ION/8xCR123 /12-24 V Outlet" mean, that you can power the Dazzler not only by battery pack, but also by cable and 12V from a car?

Oh my that is a nice piece of work there. Much more a specialized tool than I first thought it would be. :wow:

Re: Barbolight T-35 CSWL/Dazzler. (Former "Old painless"

What a weapon Javier!! I wanna see this in action!! Any beamshots? What about the drain to each die... 800mA?

Re: Barbolight T-35 CSWL/Dazzler. (Former "Old painless"

Civilian (rescue) and military versions have two modes.

1. T-35: Strobe-Constant. 10Hz (1400 mA peaks), and constant 900 mA on each LED.

2. R-35: 900mA / 400 mA. Constant high-medium.

ohhhh, great job, well done.

1. Is it going to be dive rated?

2. Still no mention yet of cost other than "high end"

Re: Barbolight T-35 CSWL/Dazzler. Beamshots

Thank you Gav.

Yes, price is not posted.

Here are two comparative rounds of beamshots.

1. Target at 30 mts. A. Control picture. B Barbolight T-15. C. 24 Watt HID BS. D Barbolight T-35 driven at 30 Watts. You can perceive much more ligfht with the naked eye, but I used a very short exposure time to avoid as much as possible city lights reflecting on clouds.

1. Target at 100 mts (Sorry, the pic is terribly out of focus). A. Control picture. B Barbolight T-15. C. 24 Watt HID BS. D Barbolight T-35 driven at 30 Watts.

By the way, it is already dive rated.

When i first saw that i said what the f**k is that, it looks like a cannon! That's amazing!

Re: Barbolight T-35 CSWL/Dazzler. BEAMSHOTS!!!

Thank you all,

The idea was to develope a searchlight or tactical light to illuminate areas at 300 m or more based on LED instead of HID. HID are great because of its efficiency, but sincerely I find the "warm up" time very annoying, and very little practical.

On a SAR situation when you need light you need it NOW, so in case you are using a HID the only way to get this s keeping the HID switched on constantly, but unfortunately this excess of lighting won't allow you to see small signs, such a weak strobe, or maybe clothes.. or anything which is not placed near by the main beam. If you use no light you can take advantage of your ight vision, till the moment you need the main beam to make you sure that what you have seen is what you were looking for.

On a tactical situation is more or less the same problem, but adding that a HID compared to a LED is like a muzzle load rifle compared to an assault rifle.

Javier

And now a serious contender, a HID 24 Watt, with a 72 mm smooth reflector.

Distance to target is 70 m, and settings are 5 seconds, f 3,5 ISO 100.

First, HID:

Second, X-35

Hope you like them.

WOOOWWW!!! The new beamshots are incredible.

This thing is awesome!! i would like have one if it is affordable (high end yes, but...)

Javier, will you do a mass production of this?

I want one! i want one! i want one! i want one!

Wow

That beamshot makes me want to save up money over the next few months. I may need to put $100 away for my barbolight fund now.

edit: original post says first units delivered in October. Is this still true? Let us know when a price is available.

OK Im sold on this one

Will it go into production?

What is the likely runtime of it and what / how many batteries does it have ?

Will there be any chance to drop it onto Half Power ? as it looks as if it might be a bit of a handfull in cloudy water.

Questions Questions ??? :)
