Bass Pro has the A2L?

I thought we'd get our hands on the LX2 first, then the A2L would follow. Its not on the SF website, but BP is selling it already? Did I miss some fine print?

I'm heading to my local Bass Pro tomorrow! They've got the LX2 online as well so hopefully they'll have it in stock. *crosses fingers* :twothumbs

FYI! I called my local Bass Pro today. They do not have it in stock. Also there is no stock in any of the warehouses that my local retailer checked. He told me that his computer was only showing 4 on order for a catalog. He did order one for me and said that he thinks it will take 10-15 days for them to have it in store for me. I'll let you know but I'm guessing there is going to be a faster way to get one.

Well I guess that means this light is on it's way down the pipe.

I have an L1 on the way, should be here tomorrow. Had I known the A2L and LX2 were coming so soon I might have held off on that order. I'm really anticipating A2L beam shots. If the high is like the L4's beam with an equally floody low, I'll pick it up before the LX2.

Then again, I've seen the Optimus listed on websites for pre-order...I'm just guessing that BP would have the deal sealed before they list it with a feasible price tag. July could be an expensive month if all this pans out. Good thing I paid my truck off last week.:thumbsup:

With the LX2 and the A2L coming soon and with the economic hardship that most have been dealing with (including me) I can only get one of these. I'm leaning towards the A2L because I have a KX2 that has the same optics as the new LX2. Sure I don't have the cool new exterior design or the spiffy 2 stage tailcap... what I do have in the KX2 is a SOB 1000 driving the LED pretty hard so output should on high shouldn't be to much different. A2L has a refelector so I think that's the deciding factor for me. The Optimus is gonna break the bank :mecry:

Just call my local Bass Pro Shop (miami Dolphin mall) and the guy had no idea about the new surefire models, so I will drive there during lunch time or when I finish at the office today, anyway I need some ammo!

Bass Pro website also shows the LX2 picture, but says 120/10 lumen. I think its a typo right? It is suppose to be 200 lumens.

Before you go to the Bass pro grab the Item number that Bass Pro uses off of their website that way the Bass Pro Worker can just look it up by number and then doesn't have to know anything about it other that what pops up on his screen.
