i have a magicshine handlebar mounted bike light:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149
the problem i have is that the control board in the battery pack is fooked.
the battery pack uses 4 unprotected 18650s (protection etc was provided by the control board) configured as 2 in series, 2 in parallel tp give 8.4V o/p.
the cells are soldered together & charged in their configuration by a 8.5V charger. i presume the control board gets round any problems of unbalanced charging of the cells.
anyone know where i can get a new control board?
or how i can still use this battery pack safely?
i can remove the board but it's the balanced charging of the cells that concerns me.
any advice would be appretiated.
thanks.
