Battery Station E1W Winelight Combo

Picked up one of these from Battery station. The cases were on BackOrder from Pelican but that was no big deal for me as Jeremiah had let me know right after he saw my order. I had talked it over with Kevin previously and decided to go with the full setup. Well a few days ago I got my full order with all the cells and things that I had also ordered. I must say that I LOVE the little thing. And the combination of the 90 minute runtime per cell and the extra 5 cell capacity of the little case made this an ideal emergency light. For me anyway.

One thing of note. I was supprised to see that the way the light body was machined is reminicent of the older bodies with the flat sides where the writing was. This i dont mind at all because I liked that better than the rounded sides. If you haven't had a chance to pick one of these up I suggest you do. For $75 I couldn't pass it up.

I got this pic off of the BS website. I'll post some of my own as soon as everybody is woke up around here so I dont disturb anybody when i go digging for the camera.

I only saw the combo at BS website after I bought my lites. If the scenario was reversed , I would have got one set for myself. Its also a neat present i'd say. I too have a pelican case but of the 1040 size since this one can fit my SF L1 and E1L like below.

I ordered one of these a few days ago, i called BS this afternoon to check status, it's been shipped, and apparently they only have "a couple" left, so anyone wanting to get one had better act fast, just a heads up...

I bought one of those comba packs a couple of weeks ago. The E1e (E1w) is one of my favorite lights; I own 5 of them.

I had owned one a while back and never really used it. Had a KL1 head and everything for it. I think I like this one better since it's out of sight but i know it's there when i need it so i'm not picking it up all the time messing with it. lol.

I've been looking at these little sets for awhile, and just ended up ordering. You guys are KILLING me!!

We're getting married in a few weeks, and our major color theme is red, so I got one of these for the better half as a mini wedding present. The really sad part is...she'll probably throw it in her purse...and even USE IT!! (Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of "usin' lights" but I'd like to get one of these for the shelf...) Maybe she'll come around eventually...if not, I'll just have to get another one!

Oh well. We're getting there.

Y'know, this *could* be an evil plot by Batterystation to artificially shore up demand for the E1w and clear out their inventory.....

whenever a light becomes a "limited edition" or "rare" light, demand skyrockets suddenly as all the collectors start snapping them up, clearing out their inventory faster than if the lights weren't promoted as "limited edition"

and dammit, we're playing *right into their hands*.....

i mean look how quickly HDS lights sell in B/S/T, the rarity causes artificial demand....

Curse you, BatteryStation, for your affordable and useful "limited edition" combo packs....

I too have been staunchly in the "it's a tool" camp, but just don't think I will be able to casually toss one of these into a tool box or under the seat. In short, I suspect that CPF has just been the cause of my first (shudder) shelf queen.

One will be for SWMBO's purse if she finds it as adorable as I suspect :lolsign:

Edit: e-mail from BatteryStation this morning says there was only one left when I ordered, so much for the shelf queen!

Great Combo. It would be even better if a few Lumens Factory bulbs were included... The LF bulbs are a must have for any SureFire E series owner.
