Beamshots of C-LE and SSC-modded HDS

Took some beamshots this evening including the Jetbeam C-LE on both Alkaline and 14500 cells as well as my SSC-modded HDS Basic 42.

Distance is 17 feet. Camera settings are f2.6 and 1 second.

Cool shots! Wow, there is so much difference on a 14500 in a C-LE. Thanx for the comparisons.

Good pics, but I think you could have used a higher f-setting so the pics on high don't look so blown out. Just some info for next time

Yeah... I guess times have changed so much that my camera settings need to change along with them. When I standardized on f2.8 or f2.6 and 1 second two years ago, it wasn't really quite bright enough for the single 5mm LEDs in the pre Nichia CS days.

I just put a 14500 in my C-LE today as well, HUGE difference. Let's cross our fingers and hope "The Magic Smoke" does not show itself.
