Best 1 Cell 123 Light

take a look at the nitecore extreme decient light and very bright. Also the jetbeam rrt-0 runs on AA and cr123a's. If your up to it the RA edc E is a "floodier" version and Ra quality is supurb!

I have to keep my answer the same... the Ra Clicky. I carry my Ti Ra Clicky every day along with my Ti Aeon and nothing has been able to tear me away from them since I first got 'em.

It is kind of ruining flashlights for me though... at least the desire to buy more of them.

Oh yeah... Unique Titanium has a nice holster for them too.

Quark MiNi. Cheapest, by far smallest, likely the brightest, the best customer support, (probably) the best built, the lightest, the best-looking, the easiest interface, the best beam pattern, the most impressive, the... ok, I've run out.

Get this light. Seriously. Get a set of AW RCRs and an Ultrafire charger and go to town. This is my end-all, be-all light :)

Joshconsulting makes some pretty big claims! But the Quark Mini is definitely a great little light. I own two and they are both very bright and easy to operate. If I had to find something wrong with it, I'd say that the UI sometimes cycles through the modes quicker than I'd like due to triggering the twisty with pressure while twisting on - but this isn't a deal breaker. If I lost my Minis, I'd buy them again for sure.

To summarise - they're bright, well made, and fairly floody. And cheaper than some other lights out there. Good luck.

I know what you mean, the mode 'flashing' is a shortcoming of the MiNi. A little Nyogel goes a long way. What I like to do is leave it just a hair beyond what activates it, then press the top down to cycle into the mode I want and twist a little farther to lock it in. Makes it easy to get to strobe or high.

I'd suggest getting a Quark regular 123 XP-G R5 with a tactical tailcap.

Modes to suit any need from moonlight to impressively bright. The XP-G R5 beam pattern has a lot of spill so it's good for lighting up a whole area. 20 hours on medium shouldn't leave you without decent light if you're in an emergency situation.

The tactical tailcap just gives you a forward clicky with protruding button, which to me, makes up for the small length of this light to make it a lot more comfortable in your hand, and of course give you momentary.

It comes with a nice holster that feels more durable than all the Fenix holsters I've accumulated.

Rather than a 123 light, you might consider the Quark AA. You can run it on a 14500 which yields exactly the same output levels as the single 123 torch, but retain the ability to use the ubiquitous alkaline AA in a pinch. The Quark AA is a bit longer than the 123, but I find that an advantage rather than a disadvantage for anything other than pocket carry.

Surefire E1B amazing little light with SF quality. I have had just about everything out there and for EDC the E1B is Super Amazing look at the runtimes 90 minutes regulated on 1xCR123. Its much brighter then advertised and has the Awesome TIR optic. RRT-0 only gets 45 minutes on a CR123 and I have heard way worse. For around the same price as an RRT-0 why not buy American????

I agree. That's why I am running both my RGB and Turbo Force head on a 14500. Very pleased with this set up.

The RRT-0 is hard to beat for battery options.

It will take lithium primaries or RCR123's and has discharge protection for those who have unprotected li-ions.

If you get the extender with it, you then can run alkaline, lithum or Eneloop AA's and even 14500's if you have them.

That's 6 different battery types that can be used if needed.

I don't know of many lights, if any that have that kind of versatility without having to change the entire body of the light.

And what I really like is the selector ring. Its nice to be able change levels without having to click all the way through all the modes.

Its :twothumbs in my book.

Time for you to try a JetBeam RRT-0.

I like the RRT0 a lot as well and I recently got a Zebralight SC50 another awesome single cell light. If I had to choose between the two knowing what I know now having experience with them I could not choose.

Of course the E1B is at the top of my list of single cell as well. I just love the UI of the RRT0 and SC50.
