Best Budget Flashlights for Various Price Brackets & Brief reviews of my collection

[FONT=&quot]Hello Everyone, I am brand new to CPF. I would like to get some recommendation for quality budget flashlights. I care most about build quality. I would sacrifice some performance for quality. I have no applications for my flashlights. I just like to collect flashlights to shine them in my friends eyes :). Please feel free to recommend more than one in each price bracket. A brief Pros and Cons would be great too! Thanks! Together we could fill in this Budget 101 flashlight list. I know for most people anything over $30 is not cheap anymore. But lets try to look at these flashlights in their corresponding class.

A fenix TK40 as budget? Wow. It is still 150 bucks retail, even though you might be able to get it cheaper.

A reasonable alternative is the itp A6 Polestar. At 80 bucks retail it is still expensive, but its cost per lumen is actually pretty reasonable. It delivers 90% of the performance at half the cost.

It has 700 lumen rating, 6xAA batteries and a floody beam. It uses a side switch and is great for giving a really good light to your dad or good friend for a birthday/etc present.

Now we are talking!

I just received the Skyray SR5(18650) and Tank007 M10 (CR123A) and I am pretty happy.

The Skyray is not as bright as I thought. Its just a little brighter than Romisen RC G2. The M10 however is fairly bright for its size. Almost as bright as the Skayray. My favortie single 18650 so far is still the X2000.

N/M I cleaned the connection on my Skyray and now its pretty bright. Its a little brighter than one of the bulb on the Fenix TK-45.

As a Budget light, then no! just order a skyray for like $16 on ebay. It's a great light you wont regret it. Superbright for 3 continuous hour! I already order like 4. Search "S-R5" on ebay.

I noticed that you have traded a TK45. How would you compare surefire to fenix?
