According to Thomas Distributing, the Sanyo's also have a 5 year warranty.

Based on the quality and innovation evident in the Eneloops, and Sanyo's manufacturing dominance in the NiMH market, I have decided to go with the Sanyo 2700 rather than the Powerex 2700.

However, I believe with either manufacturer, you're dealing at the very top of the quality chain.
